Onegin

Yevgeni Onegin lives in grand style in the capital. Balls, receptions and theatre openings fill his days. But he has long since tired of that life. News comes that his uncle in the country has fallen ill. Onegin takes it as a chance to get away. When he reaches the estate he learns his uncle has died. The news does not trouble him much. His own finances are in a poor state. His uncle was rich and has no other heir. Onegin shuts himself up on the estate. His days pass in aimless solitude. Then the owner of the neighbouring estate returns from abroad. The man is called Vladimir Lensky. He is young, eager and not yet sated with life. Lensky introduces him to the Larin sisters. The sisters are called Tatyana and Olga. Victor Dobronravov and Liza Moryak take the leads in Sarik Andreasyan’s Russian film of 2024, which runs a hundred and forty one minutes.
