Perfect Addiction

A romantic drama set around boxing. Sienna is a trainer. Her boyfriend is a fighter and she trains him; the plan is to take him to a title. Then Sienna learns something: he is with her sister. The relationship ends but the work does not. This time Sienna crosses to the other side and starts training the fighter who will face him. From there the film moves through the training and two people getting used to each other. Gym scenes, weights, diet, injury and a distance slowly closing. What the narrative is interested in is not boxing but revenge: her whole plan is built on beating one person, and she knows it. The source is a novel published on an online writing platform. Claudia Tan's text reached a large readership there and the film rights were taken from it; other books have come to film the same way in recent years. Kiana Madeira plays Sienna. Ross Butler and Matthew Noszka are in the cast. Castille Landon directed. The reviews were poor; the film nevertheless found interest with its intended audience. Who it is for: anyone who likes romantic drama aimed at younger viewers and the emotional side of sports films. Who it is not for: anyone expecting a realistic boxing story; the fights are kept short and the weight is on the relationship.
