Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Cosmos the Movie Part 2

The second part of the two-film adaptation of the final major arc of Sailor Moon goes straight into the conflict. The enemy known as Shadow Galactica targets everyone around Sailor Moon one by one, and the losses become irreversible. This last curve of the series carries a bleakness well beyond the episodes aimed at younger viewers: for the heroine to win she must first lose everything, and the film does not soften it. The adaptation chooses to stay faithful to the closing section of Naoko Takeuchi's comic rather than returning to the changes made for the television series. The design continues the line of the previous films. Because of the running time, some characters' stories are passed over quickly. Who it's for: followers of Sailor Moon and viewers who like adaptations faithful to the manga. Who it's not for: anyone new to the series; the film retells neither its characters nor years of history.
