What Taiwan Canasta Is About
There is an architect, out of work and unhappy with his life. As life goes past him he remembers his youth. The protests of 1968 are among those memories. He cannot adapt to the present. Accepting reality comes hard to him as well. So he is constantly in conflict with the people around him. The account is set in Belgrade. Corruption, construction and the art world are inside the film. An art gallery and an exhibition are part of the account too. The work runs drama and comedy together. Boris Komnenić and Ivona Marinkov take the leads, with Neda Arnerić and Radko Polič also in the cast, in Goran Marković’s Yugoslav film of 1985.
