What Tarzan Finds a Son! Is About
The only survivor of a plane crash in the jungle is a baby. Tarzan and Jane take him in, name him Boy and raise him as their own. Five years later a search party arrives, because the child is heir to a fortune. This is the fourth MGM film with Johnny Weissmuller, and there is a reason the boy had to be adopted: the censorship rules of the day would not allow Tarzan and Jane a child of their own. Maureen O'Sullivan wanted to leave the series, so Jane originally died, and that ending was reshot. The colonial view of Africa is very visible now.
