Coline Serreau spent close to three years travelling the world and talking to people working the land, to thinkers and to economists. What the documentary does is not only expose an agricultural system gone wrong; it shows ways of producing food that repair the damage while keeping health and food security in view at the same time. The camera goes to Pierre Rabhi, to the soil scientists Claude and Lydia Bourguignon, to landless peasants in Brazil, to the Kokopelli circle in India and to Antoniets’s farm in Ukraine. What separates it from other environmental films is that it is about initiatives already under way rather than about the problem alone. It opened in France on 7 April 2010.
