Tiger

The documentary follows a young tigress raising her cubs in the forests of India. To feed and protect them she has to hunt, to defend her territory and to wait for them to learn to live on their own. The camera follows the same family over a long stretch; as the seasons change so do the conditions of the forest and its dangers. The account shows nature not as a stage but as a place with rules of its own, and there is no guarantee that all the cubs will grow up. The shrinking of the land tigers live on, and the question of living next to people, stay at the edge of the frame. Priyanka Chopra Jonas narrates Mark Linfield’s ninety minute documentary, completed in 2024.
