Tracked

Tokichi Sakane escapes from prison. What he was convicted of is grave. He had been sentenced for killing his wife and child. After the escape he tries to stay hidden. He alters his appearance. He uses light makeup to do it. The film’s original title comes from that. He lives as a fugitive for years. In that time he meets a woman. She shields him. Something grows between them. The police keep on his trail. Whether he can get out from under his past stays open. The story comes from a novel by Nozomu Nishimura. The novel is based on a real case. Ken Ogata and Atsuko Asano appear in the hundred and twenty four minute film, a Japanese production Hideo Gosha finished in 1985.
