What Vuelven los García Is About
In the García family, run by a hard tempered grandmother, there are three charro cousins, and all three fall for young Lupita, who was born in the United States. The rivalry they get into over her throws the family into disorder, quarrels and pranks follow one another, and in the end it is the grandmother who steps between them again. Ismael Rodríguez’s hundred and thirteen minute Mexican film was made as a sequel about the same family and is one of those popular pictures that join the charro tradition to music, comedy and family drama. Pedro Infante, Abel Salazar and Víctor Manuel Mendoza play the cousins, with Sara García as the grandmother and Marga López as Lupita. It was released in 1947.
