Alec Baldwin

Alec Baldwin was nominated for the Academy Award for best supporting actor for The Cooler. In Glengarry Glen Ross, James Foley's adaptation of David Mamet's 1984 play, he plays the real estate executive who opens the film by telling the salesman Dave Moss that the watch on his wrist is worth more than Moss's car. The British Film Institute reckons the film goes past Arthur Miller's Death of a Salesman in laying bare where threatened masculinity meets the American Dream, with Al Pacino, Jack Lemmon, Alan Arkin and Kevin Spacey filling out the cast. He has forty films here, The Hunt for Red October, Beetlejuice, Blue Jasmine and The Aviator among them.
