What Doraemon: Nobita and the Winged Braves Is About
Nobita wants to fly. A gadget of Doraemon's takes him to Birdopia, where the bird people live, and there he makes a winged friend called Gusuke. But Birdopia is in trouble: a former corps of bird soldiers is out for revenge and means to wake a dragon that has slept for thousands of years. If it wakes, that is the end for birds and people alike. Nobita, Doraemon and their friends have to learn to fly. Tsutomu Shibayama directs; ninety-one minutes, one of the feature films in the Doraemon series, released in 2001. Nobuyo Ōyama, who voiced Doraemon, stayed in the part for twenty-six years. In Japan the series is one of the oldest traditions of putting out a film every year.
