Free!: Timeless Medley - The Promise

Free! is an animated series set around a swimming club. This film is one of the series’ compilation features. Timeless Medley is made of two films. This is the second. The weight of it falls on the Eternal Summer episodes. Pieces of the first season are in it as well. The Samezuka club stands at the centre. The story is built on Rin and Sosuke. The two are friends from childhood. As children they made a promise. They would go on swimming together. Sosuke has an injury in his shoulder. He does not tell Rin about it. He keeps swimming anyway. New scenes were added to the film. It opened on 1 July 2017. Kyoto Animation made the ninety eight minute film, a Japanese production Eisaku Kawanami finished in 2017.
