Her Sister from Paris

Helen lives in Vienna. Her husband Joseph is a well known novelist. The marriage has gone cold, and after a quarrel Helen leaves the house. She sets off to stay with her mother. At the railway station she runs into her twin sister. Her sister is a celebrated dancer in Paris, known as La Perry. The two of them are identical. The sister proposes a trick. Helen will pass herself off as La Perry and appear before her husband that way. The point is to find out whether the man really loves her. Joseph does not recognise his wife and takes an interest in this new woman. As the game goes on, things get tangled. Helen puts both her pride and her marriage to the test. The film was adapted from a stage play. The silent comedy is built on mistaken identity. Constance Talmadge and Ronald Colman appear in the seventy four minute film, an American production Sidney Franklin finished in 1925.
