Incendiary Blonde

The film tells the life of a woman called Texas Guinan. She was known in the New York of the twenties. She had a poor childhood. Her father was a man who could never get things right. Guinan first worked as a chorus girl. Then she appeared in silent films. She made her name running a nightclub. The place she ran was one of the speakeasies of the prohibition years. She greeted her customers with a line of her own. Her name was linked with the underworld as well. The film tells of her rise and of her loves. The story moves as a musical. The production changes a great deal of the life it recounts. Betty Hutton and Arturo de Córdova appear in the hundred and thirteen minute film, an American production George Marshall finished in 1945.
