What Legend of the Bat Is About
The wandering swordsman Chu Liuxiang and his friend come upon the trace of a strange affair as they pass a shipwreck: master fighters were killed at a gathering in a mountain manor, and the one survivor has lost his mind. The trail leads to the mysterious Bat Island, a place where anyone with money is said to be able to buy anything. When they reach the island they run into other parties and other reckonings. Adapted from a novel by Gu Long, the production is one of the films Chor Yuen made around the same hero. Ti Lung and Ching Li appear in the hundred and two minute Hong Kong film, completed in 1978.
