What Diary of a Big Man Is About
Chow Yun-fat plays a man married to two women at once, running both households on a rolling supply of lies invented with his friend Chi Hung. A police officer wanders into the arrangement, luck turns over a few times, and both wives learn the truth. They then join forces with Ka Lai, Chi Hung's thoroughly fed up fiancée, and go after the pair. Chor Yuen made it in 1988, squarely inside the fast Hong Kong comedy style of those years. Joey Wong and Sally Yeh play the wives, and the picture really comes alive once the two of them start settling accounts.
