André Gobillot, one of the most sought-after defence lawyers in Paris, takes on Yvette, twenty-two and charged with robbery. She is not sorry about anything, and he is taken with her from the first day. Adapted from Georges Simenon's novel, with a screenplay by Jean Aurenche and Pierre Bost, it competed at Venice in 1958.
