Pegasus 3

Zhang Chi is spoken of as the king of the Bayanbulak race. He sets out again carrying that title, and this time what he is after is not only winning but something past the race itself. Bayanbulak is a real mountain course in Xinjiang, and it is the point all three films in the series turn on. Zhang Chi's story began as one about rebuilding a career that had ended; the third film catches the same man years later. Han Han directs the Chinese film; two hours and six minutes, with Shen Teng as Zhang Chi. It is the third of the series, after the first in 2019 and the second in 2024. Han Han was a novelist and an actual rally driver before he directed, which is where the detail in the racing comes from.
