What Something Hot Is About
During the international trade fair in Thessaloniki, Rena comes with her sister to find Dinos, a friend from childhood; to inherit a large estate she needs a marriage with him that exists only on paper. Dinos refuses, because although he does very well with women in fact, in front of everyone he prefers to appear shy and respectable. With the musicians they meet at the fair the story moves to Athens, where everyone’s business gets tangled with everyone else’s. It is a typical Greek musical comedy of the sixties: songs, misunderstandings, and everybody paired off at the end. Dinos Iliopoulos, Rena Vlahopoulou and Martha Karagianni appear in Giannis Dalianidis’s hundred and five minute film, completed in 1964.
