What Sound! Euphonium The Movie: Welcome to the Kitauji High School Concert Band Is About
Having given up music after what happened at a middle school band competition, the euphonium player Kumiko Oumae starts high school hoping for a clean slate. She ends up surrounded by people interested in the concert band anyway. With the help of her bandmates, some old friends and some new, she finds her way back to playing. The band itself is chaos: they intend to qualify for the national competition, and as they are they will struggle even at the local festival. Noboru Taki, the new advisor, has to do something about it. Tatsuya Ishihara's film is compiled from the television series. Its strongest quality is the detail in the instruments and the rehearsals.
