What The Best Years of a Life Is About
A man and a woman who fell in love long ago. The former racing driver is losing his memory now and keeps talking about the same woman, so his son finds her and brings her to him. Anne and Jean-Louis meet again and the story picks up where they left it. The film is a sequel to A Man and a Woman from 1966, made fifty-three years later with the same two actors, Anouk Aimee and Jean-Louis Trintignant. Footage from the old film is used as the man's memories. It was among Trintignant's last roles, and the actor playing the son played that boy in 1966.
