Zorro, the Avenger

Zorro is a masked rider. By day he lives as somebody else. By night he takes up his sword and stands with the people. The story is set in old California under Spanish rule. In the region there is a mysterious figure called the Eagle. Nobody knows who he is. His men collect taxes and cow the population. What he wants is control of the province. Zorro resists together with his father Don Alejandro. Father and son are at two ends of the same cause. Sword fights and last moment escapes follow one another. The picture was assembled from a television series. Episodes were joined together and made into a feature. Guy Williams, Charles Korvin and Henry Calvin appear in the hundred and twenty minute film, an American production Charles Barton finished in 1959.
