What AC/DC: Live at River Plate Is About
December 2009, Buenos Aires. AC/DC return to Argentina after thirteen years and play three consecutive nights at the River Plate stadium in front of close to two hundred thousand people in total. The film records this leg of the Black Ice tour from end to end: the cannons, the giant bell, Angus Young never standing still, and a crowd that becomes an instrument of its own. It carries extra weight in hindsight, because this was the last major tour on film for Malcolm Young, who founded the band. As a concert film it does its job and never interrupts itself with narration.
