What Brewster's Millions Is About
Monty Brewster comes back from the war without a penny. Then he learns that a distant relative has left him eight million dollars. But there is a condition: to inherit it he must spend a million dollars in less than two months. On top of that he must be left with nothing to show for it, and he cannot tell anyone why. Allan Dwan directed the comedy from George Barr McCutcheon's novel; the same story has been filmed many times. Dennis O'Keefe takes the lead. The joke is simple and it works: whatever the man does he keeps making money, and every investment comes good. Eddie Anderson is also in the cast. It runs seventy-nine minutes.
