Burn the Stage: The Movie

The documentary follows a Korean pop group's world tour from backstage. Much of the footage was shot by the team's own cameras during the tour. The film shows exhaustion more than concert footage: sleep falling apart, panic before going on, a member collapsing, arguments inside the group. The narrative does not hide these and does not build a critique either; the source is the group's own company. Park Jun-soo directed. It was released through a limited run of cinema screenings. Who it's for: fans of the group and anyone curious about tour logistics. Who it's not for: viewers expecting an independent music documentary; it was made under the group's own control and should be read that way.
