What Follow That Dream Is About
The Kwimper family's car runs out of fuel on a newly opened highway in Florida and they stop at the roadside. When a state official turns up to move them along, Pop Kwimper digs in: he reads the law and decides to homestead the spot. His son Toby, the children they took in, Holly and Ariadne and the twins, all of them build their own small settlement along the verge. Officials and gamblers alike then set about getting them off it. Gordon Douglas directs, with Elvis Presley as Toby and Arthur O'Connell as Pop. It is one of the light comedies Elvis made through the sixties. There are songs, but the film runs mostly as a family comedy.
