Run Baby Run

Venu is a cameraman working for a news agency. While chasing a story involving a politician he runs into Renuka, an old love who is now a television reporter. The two of them start following a killing. The man on the other side of it will use anything he has, and the affair grows from a stadium all the way into the newsroom. Directed by Joshiy, it is a Malayalam thriller with Mohanlal in the lead. It is about how tightly journalism and politics are wound together, and about how dangerous a single piece of footage can be. It runs a hundred and forty-two minutes at a pace regional productions rarely sustain, and never slows down.
