The Clown

Dodo Delwyn was once a well known stage performer. Now he plays clowns in small venues. The reason for the fall is drink. His son Little Dink loves him dearly. He believes his father will rise again. He goes to Goldie, his father’s old agent. He asks him to find his father work. But Goldie cannot arrange anything. On that Dink is sent to live with his mother. She has remarried and is well off. The boy is not happy there. He runs away and goes back to his father. That return gives Dodo a kind of courage. Red Skelton and Jane Greer take the leads, with Tim Considine also in the cast, in Robert Z. Leonard’s American film of 1953.
