What The Devil Who Limped Is About
The film tells the life of a churchman and diplomat who served under five different regimes in France across fifty years. The title of the film is one of the nicknames given to him. The account neither clears the man nor condemns him; it shows how politics is carried on as a trade. The director also plays the lead.
