What El bombero atómico Is About
Cantinflas plays an incompetent fireman who takes responsibility for his small goddaughter after her mother dies. A few fires later he decides the work is too dangerous and becomes a policeman instead, and the safer profession stops being safe the moment the girl is kidnapped over an inheritance. In a Cantinflas film the plot is usually a frame, and the real business is his stubborn misunderstanding of institutions, uniforms and official language in every scene. Here he gets two uniforms. Miguel M. Delgado directed most of his films.
