What Fist of the North Star: The Legend of Kenshiro Is About
The film covers what came before the main story: the year between Kenshiro's defeat by Shin and his return to him. Half dead after that fight, Kenshiro spends the last of his strength killing a pack of wolves and falls into the hands of slavers. He could have broken the chains and walked out whenever he wanted. He does not; he stays so that nothing happens to the other slaves. In a world after a nuclear war, it is a question about what the strong are supposed to do. Kobun Shizuno directs; eighty-three minutes, with Hiroshi Abe voicing Kenshiro. It is the one story in the Fist of the North Star series written outside the manga; the other films come straight from the comic.
