My friend, Lefterakis

To use against his wife Fofo, Thodoros has invented an imaginary friend from Patras named Lefterakis. That man is the alibi for every escapade, and for years nobody has questioned it. Then one day a person actually called Lefterakis turns up at the door, and Thodoros greets him with astonishment and dread in equal measure. Alekos Sakellarios adapted the film from his own 1955 stage play, which had been produced by the company of Dinos Iliopoulos and Mimis Fotopoulos. Iliopoulos plays Thodoros in the film as well, Kostas Voutsas is the Lefterakis made of flesh and blood, and Maro Kondou plays Fofo. It opened on 25 February 1963 and finished tenth among the eighty-two films of the season. The summary in the record is written in broken English.
