What El Portero Is About
This time Cantinflas is the porter of an apartment building. He earns a little extra typing letters and speeches for other people on an old machine, and he is still going to school himself. He is in love with a young neighbour who cannot walk, and a soldier is interested in her too. Wanting her to be happy, the porter turns into Cyrano and writes the soldier's love letters for him. The second half of the plan is to win enough at the racetrack to pay for the operation that would let her walk. Miguel M. Delgado directs, with a very young Silvia Pinal opposite Cantinflas.
